Kneuro features an internal sensor network that regulates the hydraulic system in real time to provide customized resistance for everyday use. The algorithm adapts automatically to accommodate diverse conditions such as changing road surfaces, inclines and declines, staircases, and varying walking speeds. The power control button provides access to additional functions, e.g. mode switching or manual lock. The app-based programming is easy-to-use, customizable modes offer more freedom to suit individual user needs.

The Kneuro is waterproof (IP67) and stands out with a battery runtime up to 5 days and a user weight limit to 150 kg. For activity and mobility levels 2, 3 and 4.

The Kneuro Knee is designed for users with knee disarticulation, transfemoral amputation or hip disarticulation.

It has been tested according to DIN EN ISO 10328 and has a body weight limit of 150 kg.

This electronic knee joint is waterproof (IP67) up to 1 metre water depth for max. 30 minutes.

What's the user's indication for the Kneuro microprocessor knee?
For patients with activity level 2–4 weighing less than 150 kg, transfemoral amputations, knee disarticulation (unilateral and bilateral), unilateral hip disarticulation, patients with osseointegration.

What features and functions does Kneuro offer?
The Kneuro features a 5-day battery life, it can be easily loaded using any standard USB-C charger. In addition, the joint is waterproof (IP67) up to a depth of 1 metre for a maximum of 30 minutes. It includes advanced functions such as stumble recovery, step-over-step stair ascent, and walk-to-run.

How do I schedule a Kneuro trial?

Is Kneuro programmable through an app?
The Kneuro microprocessor knee is programmed through the use of an app with iOS and Android compatibility. The Kneuro app allows clinicians to customize Kneuro and its functionality to best suit their patient's unique gait characteristics and stability requirements. Additionally, through the Kneuro app users are able to push remote firmware updates ensuring that the device is operating at optimal levels.

Which feet are compatible with Kneuro?
While the Kneuro is often fit with dynamic response feet, we encourage clinicians to use their clinical judgment and fit the foot most appropriate for the user's lifestyle and goals.

How can I become certified to fit Kneuro?
Before the initial setup and alignment of the Kneuro knee joint, technicians must be trained by our technicians from the WJT field service. Training materials are available for this purpose, which cover theoretical and practical content in detail. You should allow approximately 4 hours to work through the training materials together with our WJT field service team and proceed with the installation and configuration of the knee joint using the app.

How do I know if Kneuro is right for me?
The Kneuro knee is beneficial to users weighing less than 150kg with a wide range of lifestyles, from those with low activity levels to active users. The cognitive ability is necessary to operate the product and the app, you should be able to take care of the knee joint in accordance with general recommendations from our IFU.

How can I trial Kneuro?
Many clinicians offer trial fittings, allowing you to experience Kneuro firsthand. Talk with your prosthetist about coordinating a trial to determine if it's the right solution for you.

How long does it take to learn how to use Kneuro?
Many users are able to navigate stairs step-over-step right away. However, for others, it may take several days or even weeks to fully adjust to using it in their daily lives, depending on each person's unique condition and situation.

Is there an app for Kneuro?
Yes, Kneuro comes with a user-friendly app that allows easy programming by both the prosthetist and the user. Just download the app from your phone's App Store, and your prosthetist can assist you with activation and setup. Your technician must activate your account before you can make adjustments on settings yourself.

Can I shower with my knee?
We do not recommend showering with your knee. Kneuro's IP67 rating indicates that it should only be submerged for up to 30 minutes, and exposure to soap, chlorinated water, and other corrosive liquids should be avoided.

What kind of maintenance does my prosthetic device require?
It is recommended that users regularly clean their prosthesis with a soft, damp cloth using fresh tab water, then rub it dry. For users' safety and optimal functionality of the prosthesis, it is necessary to conduct maintenance (including servicing and inspection) after 36 months.
